Merida – 8 year old female German Spitz

Merida is an 8 year old female German Spitz. She was born in Germany and was sold to her family at a year old and she has been with them for the last 7 years.

This girl has a lot of energy, she is happy to be out and about running for hours, but she is equally happy on a day to be lazy at home, have a couple of normal walks and just sleep and be in her garden.

She is friendly with other dogs and has shared her home with a few. she is also ok at meeting dogs out and about.

She is great on a lead and she is used to a double lead as she lines with Milo, she has great recall and in safe areas, she can be off lead running, sniffing and simply enjoying the outdoors.

She travels extremely well in the car and simply jumps in when is time for an adventure. She accepts her Vet visits as she regularly attends for her nails to be trimmed.

She is used to having her teeth brushed, and she is brushed once a week by her family. She reacts to cats she sees in the street, but she is great with Horses and cattle.

Merida is crate trained and goes to her crate every night at 9 pm and wakes up at 7 am, she is fully house trained and doesn’t have any issues with toys and treats, or indeed sharing them.

She is slightly nervous about loud noises and sudden actions, and she will tell you when she is feeling uncomfortable, this mainly occurs in her home, and her current family simply places her in her crate, which is also her safe place.

This is a very difficult decision by the family to rehome both their dogs, but the unexpected changes in their lives mean that both dogs will need to go into quarantine in the country where they need to go.

Merida will be suitable for a couple, a single person, a family with teenage children that will respect her few fears, a lovely garden as she loves to run, and someone active with lots of adventurous for her to go on. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date with her vaccinations.
