Riva & Blackie are 3 month old male and female Cross-Breeds. All our dogs are rescued from Spain and these cuties are looking for new families in the UK. We are two sisters discarded as unwanted and ended up in Almeria pound in Spain. Luckily we were rescued by Kate and Carolyn and went to the base in Murcia. We had parvo but are now fully recovered thanks to our vets Juan and JP. We are probably part pointer- we will be medium sized dogs. We are presently being cared for beautifully by our foster Mum Kate in Spain and we will have a group chat set up when both adopters are in place. We will be ready to come home to UK late September once we have had all our vaccinations and we are legal age to travel. Carina is a 1 year old female Chinese Crested Powderpuff. She came to us after being left unclaimed in the pound. She is a wonderful happy little girl that is absolutely fine with dogs and cats! She weighs just 5kg. She is quite the regal lady, She walks beautifully on the lead and she is house trained, most of the day she spends snoozing on the sofa or the bed however she loves her food and walks! Carina is a gentle little soul, she is a darling with not a bad bone in her body, She is not destructive at all and is quite content being left for short periods. She is a very undemanding and lazy girl, Would suit an older person or couple. Carina will need regular grooming and coat maintanence but she absolutely loves this! This lovely little lady would make a fantastic addition to any family as she is really laid back and undemanding, but equally a lovely cuddly loyal company. Isla is a 1-2 year old female Labrador Cross . She is our little black beauty has such a wonderful gentle heart. She adores the pension owner and his family – especially the children. She is also very smart and loves to learn commands and gets on great with other dogs.

Guinness is a 1 year old male Terrier Cross. He is scruffy type black and white boy has the cutest face. Such a curious soul he likes to investigate all that’s around him. He is such a happy boy but does like to be active.

Sadie is a 3 year old female Cross-Breed. She is such a beautiful girl with lovely markings. She absolutely loves people, she enjoys her playtime, especially playing with children. She’s very good around them. She is also such a cuddly girl. She prefers to play with one particular male, she can be dog selective. Sandie is a 2 year old female Cross-Breed. She is such a gentle loving character she loves everyone and brings happiness wherever she goes. She loves to play with the other dogs, with adults and she adores the children then once tired from all the playing she likes to snuggle up and have some fuss time ? Pepsi is a 1-2 year old female Cross-Breed. She is an affectionate and loving dog who also has a sensitive side. She loves to go on walks and is always on the look out for a tasty treat, where ever it may be! She can be wary of other dogs and mostly prefers not to interact with them, only reactive if they are too insistent! Pepsi is looking for an owner who is willing to give her the time she needs to settle in and who will be able to read her body language around other dogs and encourage her to move away when she is uncomfortable. Pepsi is looking for someone who has owned dogs before, preferably sighthounds, and who is knowledgeable about dog behaviour. She can live with sensible teenagers that have lived with a dog before and who will be respectful of her sensitive nature. She was very vocal when she first arrived but has since settled down. Zeusy is a 1-2 year old male Cross-Breed. He is an affectionate and sensitive soul who has won the hearts of everyone at Mayhew. He’s a sensitive boy who is one of life’s worriers and he can become defensive around strangers when startled. When introduced properly he makes friends very quickly, and with people he knows and trusts he’s extremely affectionate and will roll over for a belly rub at a moment’s notice! He’s super playful and active, he’s always up for a game with his toys, and will optimistically greet you with a toy in his mouth hoping for a game of fetch. Maximus is a 5 year old male Spaniel Cross. He is our extra special boy. He has the most beautiful brown and white coat with freckles on his snout. He is much loved by the shelter staff because of his delightful kind and gentle affable nature. Maximus mixes perfectly well with other dogs, cats and children and thoroughly enjoys their company. Sadly , Maximus had a nasty road traffic accident in March 2021 and his elderly lady owner was forced to surrender him to out Cyprus shelter, where he has been ever since. Maximus underwent reconstructive surgery to his rear right leg and walks and runs happily with just a hint of a limp. A medical report is available for would be adopters of this most deserving boy.

Mafalda is a 9 month old female Cross-Breed. She is currently in our holding kennels in Spain. If you need a funny, loveable and energetic dog to brighten up your life – then look no further than the gorgeous puppy Mafalda! We have to apologise for the poor photo but as Mafalda is such a livewire and wants to play and make friends with absolutely everyone she meets, it has been difficult to actually catch her standing still. Nisha is a 3 year old female Saluki Cross. She was found 2 years ago abandoned on the streets in Oman where she didn’t put up any resistance to her rescuer and was happy to be taken off the streets and straight into a foster home. Nisha is still in that same foster home today, 2 years later. She hasn’t had one single application come in for her since she was rescued so we’re hoping her forever home is in the UK instead. Nisha is fine with male dogs but selective with female dogs. Her ideal home would either have no dogs or calm older dogs as she doesn’t do well with puppies and energetic dogs. She could live with cats as her foster family have two cats who she lives alongside harmoniously. Her foster family describe her as very loving and affectionate, for 15 minutes, then she likes her space to chill and relax.
